Metabolomics

"Metabolomics"  said the detective.

"What's that?" asked the other detective.

"Apparently it is the study of cell processes and how they interact chemically."

"So who is this whiz kid billionaire, John Steyn, and what does he have to do with it."

"The complaint is directed at him.  I have been looking into his background.  Apparently he was some type of savant as a child with a special interest in cell biology.  At 14 he went to his local college to study molecular biology and biochemistry.

At 17 he transferred to Harvard grad school but dropped out after three years.  Accused his research professor of claiming his research.

Went on to cure male pattern baldness.  Made a fortune."

"Sheesh!"

"The breakthroughs kept coming, next he cured deafness, adult hearing loss, he was responsible for tooth regeneration therapy, which then led to regenerative medicine."

"Right, I remember officer Johnson, he had a leg regrown."

"Yes, that was Steyn Industries.  Cancer and Alzheimer's were next."

"So what's the complaint?"

"Whistle blower is making some accusations of misconduct at the top levels of the corporation.  Also the Harvard professor had a heart attack a couple of years back.  There is someone claiming that death was not accidental."
